Just quickly yes..

Energy:
With sanctions put on Russian oil and gas some of these fields if left too long with no flow of production will freeze over.. And sounds like there's hell of a lot of wells that will need re-drilling, if that's the case it's going to take decades to bring these fields back online.

Time:
Ukraine war only getting started, soon 500k troops will be joining the Russian army in the field in May and 60k Ukrainian troops that have been training in NATO countries also joining around the same time. Ukraine cities, farmland and residential areas are destroyed people displaced.

Food and Fertiliser:
Food security example Brazilian farmland sounds like some of the worst in the world.. After they clear the land and process the soil to get the acid out (to do with the fauna and land in that tropical region) they are left basically with beach sand. So they need fertiliser with every harvest.

Potash:
Potash mines and processing will take awhile to come online 7 years in Canada but Canada has foreseen this and already made a start getting more of its potash resources online. Germany was mentioned also.. Russia and Belarus no longer being able to export potash anymore has already risen the price..

Potash combined with the increase in natural gas prices will continue to add pressure to the prices of fertiliser and also food.. Including food supply. There's some big figures thrown in there of population numbers that rely on the food of other countries.. Like half the worlds population.


China:
With China being the biggest importer of both food and energy they will be hardest hit. If America put sanctions on China like it has Russia it would be catastrophic for them. But now taking Aust coal again. We know they need us more than we need them as a trade partner.

I could go on, it's a real interesting cast and well worth a listen. But food security and potash being the most important for this thread. Bringing resources like SHPs online sooner than later you would think should be attracting government and institutional investors. (my 2c)
