    Some comments;

    Saying america would regain the spot as the worlds largest energy producer and that australian gas production could rival russia at some stage would have given you a free night in a well padded room not too long ago.

    PNG was looking to pipe gas to the south east coast of queensland for many years.....what happened?.....

    The swing factor in energy markets is not so much gas but local chinese coal production, check world energy mix.

    Cheap gas in the US will force the switch to using more gas for transport and power, taking market share from coal, nuclear and cash sucking "green" capitalist schemes, in turn creating more market demand for gas, this takes time but will happen. Ditto for world energy mix.

    If XX TCF of gas plus oil are found in WA onshore then why would they not be linked in for export after domestic demand is satisfied? See COP/NSE comments. Maybe something similar to Qld gas fields now....

    BPT is in discussion about how to export gas from the cooper basin.

    If the assumption is 3tcf and 20c then AWE is already fully valued to overvalued imo.....which means the market is factoring in more gas being found or higher ev/boe prices or both.

    Prediction is hard, especially about the future, which we will be using more gas.....
