I got my wish and bought at a lower price than the close but unfortunately not the bottom.
The way I look at it is it goes ex divy next week so I should pick up 3 divies over the next year and a little bit.
I am expecting the .04c plus two lots of at least 3c plus franking
Not a bad return.
I understand that the share price will drop when it goes ex divy but as far as I am concerned that's only a book value and the underlying business of SHM has not changed as far as I can see and it should continue to perform.
There have been no market updates to the contrary
