Legit question from a non-chartist...
When you (TA guys) make statements like that, is the assumption that we are in, and will be in an information vacuum until said target is reached (or you get further TA indicators).
The way I see it, charts track sentiment. We will have news within 30 days, and it could / will change sentiment significantly and your chart will count for nought.
Bad news, and It will get totally and utterly reversed. Good news, and it may accelerate toward your targets, and "expected news" and it'll just continue in its merry way.
So, back to the question.... Do you assume an absence of info?
