News is news and speaks for itself.
Charts can give you an idea what's happening between news announcements. This is handy when news items are few a far between.
Right now we have an ascending triangle looking to break out to the upside, possibly upwards of $10. Gap up tommorow at the open and we are on. When we have a chart that looks like SHV does at the moment, no news is good news.
