Completely agree they will have no trouble refinancing or paying 10 mill.......my undersanding is it is SHV, not the bank, that wants only short term financing...SHV appears to prefer to run with no or little debt.....but took some temporary debt on for the large Cap Ex
Just on the orchard valuations.....its certainly tough to value them on current earnings......from memory their earnings were massive from their own orchards back in 2005-2006 and they are maturing all the time.
I think SHV is actually quite averse to raising capital or cap ex spend at all at the moment......which is what I would do if you didn't know you'd be an independent company much longer....
If we now assume they are not acquiring almond orchards in the region at this time, the only cap ex will be needed for WA orchards, which I think they will develop when almond prices get back near normal
