I researched Shy Susan. Only 85 plants left. Botanical societies build fences around the plants to protect them. They get attacked by all sorts of things like fungus and pests.
I believe that if Proto gets involved in protecting them, may even benefit the plant population. All they need to do is plant some plants outside the office and remember to water them every so often. Double the population overnight.
Maybe the plants contain some herbal medicine like out of the movie "Medicine Man" and they can harvest the plants and diversify into the medical industry. All the shareholders will be happy with that plus the thriving unobtainium project.
