The SI/Tameo (postponed) deadline for initial $5m payment is due tomorrow.
Will the deal be done? SI are not in the energy generation/supply business, don't have a market subsidy, and seem ill-suited to quickly on-sell a large order of BlueGens. It would be sweet if SI was a story of David and Goliath toppling the energy giants; trailblazers of the energy decentralisation paradigm. But is that so? Or is SI an optimistic story and an opportune moment? Sadly, I remain unbelieving that SI could action their proclaimed deal, especially when all our other stakeholders who are significant players in the power supply industry have been cautious, qualified and uncommitted.
The SI deal lifted the SP about +30% and buoyed the SPP; I honestly hope the deal is done; but if not, CFU’s order book and outlook will need revising.
