The IER clearly proves this move is not in Metallica's minor shareholders' best interest.
Diatreme minor shareholders after already losing 26.8% of the project to the JV now set to suffer another major dilution so it would seem not be in their interest either.
It does however gather all the assets around Mitsubishi into one nice bundle, When is it Mitsubishi's lease expires?
