I think Joe Lowry was taking aim at Codelco and the CORFO announcement. Codelco’s land isn’t great in Maricunga and SQM is more likely to continue pursuing the Atacama.
In general Lowry is dismissive of all juniors. He favours the large established players only. He definitely has a personal beef with Bitran and by extension CORFO/ Chile gets caught in the crossfire.
LPI / MSB can prove him wrong. Hopefully very soon.
