Warning: conspiracy theory ahead. I can't separate the massive short trade over roughly the last 2 years and this latest episode. In my mind it appears like a contrived corporate takedown. Somebody wants the asset and they are going to get it cheaply. You can't tell me that this kind of stuff doesn't happen. It was happening in Jesse Livermore's day so why wouldn't it still happen especially now that money is concentrated in fewer hands with greater power. (Disclaimer: I am not a conspiracy theorist. I am not preparing for the apocalypse.)
