What makes me wonder is that you have these high flying executives earning millions of dollars for running these big companies and none of them can see that a commodity boom does not last forever and to prepare their companies for a slow down. BHP and others have spent billions expanding supply and acquiring other commodity assets and now their having to take more writedowns.
I mean are these guys really worth the millions that they get paid???
