I vented my spleen to Dean yesterday regarding the contamination issue -- not so much the contamination itself, but the lack of communication surrounding it, especially given the significance of the bulk sample shipments and that we shareholders were anxiously awaiting news on those. To give us the bad news with a few throwaway lines on page whatever it was of the quarterly report was appalling.
Mak would have been much more credible had they come out with an ASX announcement spelling out the contamination problem as soon as it was discovered, detailing who was responsible, and what extra cost/delay this might mean for Mak. Sh1t happens all the time, but setbacks would be accepted a lot more readily by the market if they were explained openly and promptly by the company.
No reply yet, but maybe this time I won't be getting one!
