    We've NEVER made a major claim on any insurance policy.

    Lots of other people have made claims with recent weather events so insurance premiums have gone up.
    Modern cars a lot more expensive to repair too.
    On the other hand insurance companies invest the premiums conservatively so with interest rates up maybe the pressure on future premium rises will abate for a while.
