It seems to suggest that Chinese buyers have intent for London Mining's assets. Not sure exactly where they are at in terms of feasibility studies but surely any potential suitor would be looking at the region in general (as a sum of parts).
Remember, before getting any large scale project in Sierra Leone making money, a lot of money still needs to be shelled out for infrastructure. If you are spending that much on infrastructure you would want to own plenty of dirt.
Whether it is the Koreans, Chinese or others, the decision will not be taken lightly and big picture forward thinking would be taking place.
My money is on the Shandong group taking the reigns and I do not believe that the asking price is at all unreasonable. Lets hope we get a couple of bidders.
