The chances of Sierra acquiring NTC are between zero and 0%. The first obvious reason is that NTC doesn't have anything that Sierra would want. Furthermore, Sierra sold their retail division last year to focus on M2M, so acquiring NTC would be a step backwards. Companies like Sierra are looking to provide a full M2M service to customers which includes the hardware (device/embedded module), device management (M2M control centre software) and then finally, software to analyze the data that M2M devices generate.
