Its a joke if they cant get an announcement out because one person is unavailable. Its not as if they didnt know this would be coming. Its also not as if Kenny is the CEO or a director - he's just the PR interface who arguably in my view crosses the line between a proper investor relations role and in-house ramper.
It either reflects poorly on the company or does not augur well for the results to be announced.
