I find it strange that the world is short circuiting treatments for Ebola which has killed less people in total than HIV kills EVERY DAY. Same goes for HCV and cancer.

In defence of that argument..... It stems from the ease of transmission and the potential for terrorists to use Ebola as a weapon. Having the US dept. of Defence on side has made Tekmira what it is. Our little Aussie unknown will have its day in the sun soon enough.
