as someone has already posted its all about what people are prepared to pay.
Im at the age were my taste buds are constantly changing, and the only thing that made me realise that is beer, nothing else.
In the past four or five years ive noticed the overpriced and less popular beers come down and the cheaper go up as demand rose
Buds, used to be $75.00 now around $45.0 Corona used to be $70.00 now $45.00 Millers used to be $65.0 now $46.0 Teds used to be $28.00 now $40+ Seems that $45 is the going rate And on the subject of Corona,i just came back from the states and the average price is $3 ea or $20 for a 30 carton, are we being ripped or what ?
I put this down entirely to the lack of competition with the big two controlling 90% of the market. They keep coming up with different shop front names, but they are all owned by them
Im over all the above and Heineken,Boags and a few others including cider
Im now on Carlsberg but thats also $45.0
The secret is,if you find a cheaper beer you like, dont tell anyone or before long the price goes up
Spirits are no different.Bourbon is my tipple. I remember when Wild Turkey and Cougar couldnt be given away and now they are up there with the others in price
I wish everyone would give up drinking Moet then i could afford more of it
