Ancuabe is located in the Cabo Delgado region of northern Mozambique which happens to be the homeland and power base of the President of Mozambique, Filipe Nyusi. TON have stated that the local people to Ancuabe are in favour of the mine which I take to mean President Nyusi is also.
Before his political career he was a mechanical engineer and then executive director of the northern (Cabo Delgado) division of Mozambique Ports and Railways. That's a great CV for the President to have at a time when TON is seeking a mining licence. He will be on top of all of the relevant issues.

The following article mentions that in April 2018 Nyusi officially opened SYR's mine located in Cabo Delgado which is a good sign for us. But the article also highlights the under-utilisation of Pemba port and SYR's decision to bypass Pemba and instead use a port south of Cabo Delgado. That would undoubtedly be a sore point with the President which, maybe, TON can help to alleviate.
