I really can't see that investing lessons are to be learned by comparing the history of GCN and Sandfire (SFR).

Yes, Sandfire made nothing in 5 years, while it was spending its money looking for a treasure house of minerals.

GCN has made nothing over 12 years, while spending its money fiddling around with various cunning, but failed, schemes.

Sandfire came good in 2009, when geophysics suggested a massive lode in the Meekatharra region of WA. Drilling immediately proved a massive copper-gold deposit. The price went from a low of $0.05 to $8.00. Lovely.

What could GCN do that is equivalent to geophysics and drilling at a single spot?

GCN may learn the lesson of concentration, and earn some income. But I don't think there is any massive lode of potential income out there that will put a rocket under its share price.
