EWC's part in the PNG LNG development proposal is soley the LNG facility. EWI will own the sea port (as stated in the original post)power stations etc. This could explain no announcement being made (although EWC never like to ann. anything). The gas for the LNG facility is to be sourced from the Gulf Provinces 22.5% earn back for any developments in their province. If you check out InterOil they have(will) proven up significant reserves and their project is far more financially sound than Oil Searchs project and therefore its fair to assume (IMO) that InterOils project will start production sometime from the middle of the decade. Ownership of EWCs proposed PNG LNG will be 80% EWC and 20% Gulf Province (free carried); after 20 years the ownership will be 40% EWC 60% Gulf Province. IMO the developments in PNG are far more significant than QLD's progress as EWC have a gas supply from the Gulf Province.
