Don'ty get me wrong I am a strong believer in ESG's future and was one of the first on here to bring it to people's attention. I was simply saying that with regard to ESG and LNG ...its gas is currently somewhat "stranded" .. there is no pipeline for either local use or export. I guess that's the case for QGC et all as well so you make a fair point. ESG's gas would certainly attract the type of premium implied by the BG/ORG and STO/Petronas deals IF it were subject to a takeover.
The QHVP of course solves a lot of these issues .. but remember in terms of current share price I reckon it has been factored in as after all its 4 years away. If ESG is able to access the pipeline and send gas via the hub in QLd to Gladstone (or wherever else LNG facilities are built) then its upside is even graeter than the $2 in 12 months that I anticipate.
