Mud logging should have already be giving them some ball park idea on sandstone thickness and properties.

Ie type of sand grains, big, small, irregular, rounded etc.

What evidence of type cementing of the sand grains, any clays present etc.

The key wording was Gary saying the sands appear better quality compared to the shallow zones. They should already have a ball park about how thick the sandstone ressrviors are!

Which is nice.

Biggest concern on this well has always being so distal from sedimentary source, risk of only thin and condense clastic reservoirs being present in the deeper zones.
