SIGNIFICANT GOLD INTERSECTIONS CONTINUE TO BE ENCOUNTERED AT GLEN WILLS & SUNNYSIDE PROJECTS.
Synergy is pleased to advise that diamond drilling at both the Glen Wills and Sunnyside Gold Projects in Victoria has again encountered significant gold mineralisation. The latest assay results further confirm the presence of widespread, high-grade gold and the remarkable continuity of gold intersection hits.
GLEN WILLS:
The most recent gold intersection received from GWDH026 is:
1.7 metres @ 11.3 g/t gold
including 0.7 metres @ 25.5 g/t gold
GWDH026 was targeted to test below the interpreted down-plunge mineralisation previously reported. The hole has intersected the mineralisation at a dip angle of -66 degrees. This intersection appears to be close to the strike of the mineralising structure.
The intersection consists of a strongly developed hanging wall contact with the higher grade quartz–sulphide breccia containing visible gold. The intersection is approximately 30 metres below previous intersections and mid-way between GWDH023 (5.8m @ 18.9g/t Au) and GWDH024 (11.9m @ 8.66 g/t Au).
GWDH026 further confirms the presence of significant mineralisation at depth with the result indicating that mineralisation is open along strike and down dip.
GWDH028 designed to further test the down plunge of the structure was lost at a depth of 260 metres due to excessive deviation during drilling. This target will now be retested.
GWDH027 is being drilled by the large capacity rig recently located on site. The current hole has been designed to test for deeper extensions of the established ore shoots. The hole is expected to reach target shortly.
GWDH029 will be re-drilled following the partial loss of a drill string.
GWDH030 has commenced and is currently drilling ahead.
SUNNYSIDE:
Encouraging results continue to be received from the Sunnyside Gold Project (three kilometres to the north and along strike from the Maude–Yellow Girl). SSDH013 & SSDH014, the most recently assayed holes at the project, have both encountered encouraging results. Significant intersections returned include:
SSDH013 3.2 metres @ 2.05 g/t gold
SSDH014 1.9 metres @ 13.9 g/t gold
Both holes were collared at a dip angle of -55 degrees, and designed to test below historic workings. The drilling has confirmed the presence of mineralisation with SSDH013 appearing to encounter a previously unmined structure before encountering old workings. SSDH014 designed to test the same structure 40 metres to the south of SSDH013 appears to have intersected a mineralised cross structure.
SSDH015 and SSDH016 have been successfully completed. Assay results are awaited from both of these holes. SSDH017 is currently drilling ahead.
