The pickup of the Maldon gold plant is very significant. It means that A1 is not beholden to anyone's timetable for ore treatment. A1 can run through more or less of whatever they are digging out and target high grade or low grade when it suits them. They no longer need to plan for their own mill on site (tricky location) and so no need for any more capital raisings!!! They will be producing from 2, that's TWO mines in 2015 - high grade, low volume at all-in-cash-costs at or under A$800 per ounce. So even at today's price of gold, we'll be profitable, especially in Aussie dollar terms.
All in all , this has been a very clever and significant deal not only for A1 but also as far as Victorian gold mining is concerned. Roll on 2015 and lets get that gold poured! I'll be there at Maldon for that for sure.

I read they had negotiated a reduction in fees from Castlemaine. Why not use that up first?
