In my view, the spike in oil prices overnight due to the latest temporary conflict in the middle east says nothing about the prospects or value of SXY and similar stocks.
I wouldn't be surprised to see the share price down at the end of the day along with the general market. In the US overnight, the Oil Exploration and Production Index was down 1.12%.
I hold SXY as a long term but still speculative investment.
