CZN has just completed second phase drilling in Gibson Desert, an area that was never explored before. CZN conducted VITM survey and found several hotspots for mineralisation. One drill core found significant copper, magnetite mineralisation however others drill core have not shown the similar visual features during second phase drilling completed in Nov 2013.
CZN was testing area of the size 10km and 6km and it is quite possible to miss mineralised zone at the drilled location, in particular when drilling points are several kms apart.
Gibson desert region has significant potential as one drill core showed copper-iron gold mineralisation and had the same mineralised zone and features as Olympic Dam (BHP) area had.
In my view, CZN would undertake another drilling phase with closer drill points to ascertain further extension of iron-copper mineralisation (D0002).
No doubt there is significant potential in locating highly mineralised zone of significant size.
Real opportunity exists. Keep watching
