The largest shareholder in Cape Lambert is African Minerals with a 18.7 per cent stake. Cape Lambert’s managing director, Tony Sage, owns a 6.4 per cent stake in the company.
On Friday, African Minerals said it was in “advanced discussions” to secure financing for its Tonokili project, including refinancing an existing $417 million secured loan facility with bank debt on “improved and less restrictive terms”.
