Don't think it was "Bista" CT but it may have been Vista.
And the someone that sent in the troops was actually the Government at the time which lead to a rather farcical confrontation which did not need to go the way it did. But Bolivians can be a bit boisterous.
So there were a few Keystone Cops skirmishes from both sides and a few got killed and injured on both sides. They were not all miners by any means.
Of course these days we do have a much more sympathetic Government in Morales who would regard his miners at Amayapampa as his "brothers".
