Australia breezed through the GFC thanks largely to demand from a burgeoning Chinese economy and the ability for Rudd to splurge spend from the hard earned surplus accumulated under the fine Howard/ Costello stewardship. For others to disagree is plain dumb and partisan.
The world appears to be entering a severe recessionary and probably protracted period. All good for gold, gold producers and juniors close to production and those with at least a resource .
Unfortunately, many will be severely impacted and those within the growing throng of negative equity both in Australia and abroad will be devastated.
America is entering a period of pain. Will Trump survive the pending calamity or will the population take its vengeance on him and elect yet another feckless Democrat. When will the recession hit hard? Before 2020 or after. Probably before we realise it!
