Perhaps a coincidence of timing, the renegotiated arrangement with Shire seemed the catalyst for the SP demise. IMO the revised arrangement underscored Shire's lack of confidence in AVX - other's will disagree. As a result AVX had to mitigate their position.

IMO they did this through Board changes - in the last 10 days Drona has with inter-galactic speed moved into the Chairman role, Bottomley has joined the Board (another M&A bloke) as has Boyd (previously CFO) and Cooper has gone back to Grant Samuel. Chick is running around the World leveraging, networking and enjoying AVX's remaining cash.

The skill based of the Board has shifted to commercialisation(or takeover) away from their core business. The game is on, but who's go the ball?

Very importantly there's been NO RECENT NEWS FROM AVX. Where many companies are issuing announcements to reassure their shareholders, not a bleat from AVX.

AVX will have to break their silence eventually and they know if it's bad news, their SP will hurtle towards 0 in nano-seconds. But, if they withhold news likely to affect the SP, they breach ASX listing rules.

The question was raised a few weeks ago - why has the ASX not queried AVX's dramatic SP decline?

I contacted Blue Print Life Sciences Group last week - AVX's investor relations with these questions. They did not return my call.
