There has been a lot of discussion about SLX on share sc* ne.
Something not mentioned on HC is that management have 1.6m options expiring at $4.02 on 19th April.
Given that the current sp is getting close (between $3.60 - $3.70 at the moment), there is a strong financial incentive for the deal to done before the April deadline.
As to SLX products
Positives
We will know soon about the U deal
Translucent appears positive, but will take time - now 2nd half 2006 - and it was going to be 2005. SLX deadlines are very "flexible".
The negatives are
The Si isotope work - no one wants to pay a premium for enrichment and Si28 wafers.
Oxygen and Carbon markets are less than $100m worldwide.
Fiberbyte seems good, but may take awhile to catch on
