PS Bilbar, for about the last 18 months I have had the feeling that the gov is not on my team. I try to avoid political thoughts as a trader as they are for the most part irrelevent (except porkbarreling). But I noted that Hotfire said he avoids Africa and that argument could easily be applied to Australia (lesser degree but you get the idea).

I knew on the open today that I should have bought QAN but never trade airlines. I just knew the market was going to stick it up the unions and the ALP (after reading Fairfax saying that QAN would tumble - that's what Fairfax wanted). It was like the middle shots at the Alamo IMO. They will inflict worse.

In other words, I think the Australian economy and the mining industry will be in far worse shape by the time we see the back of this mob. Also, if I could short real estate I would.
