re: how and where to buy physical silver Hi 76,

Simplest answer is go to any long established bullion dealer in your capital city, or go to the Perth Mint (to buy allocated silver).

There are some very honest coin dealers on Ebay - but I'm sure there is the odd rogue there as well.

When I started buying silver coins, I made the mistake of buying the dearer collector's coins - proof ones, normally with a privy mark or a gold inlay.

I should only have been buying bullion coins (aka specimen coins).

I intend to sell some of my collector's coins in the new year, and put the money into silver bullion instead.

A site that will give an 'indication' of Oz silver coins values is http://www.anda.com.au/marketplace.asp?category=COINS+AUSTRALIA&offset=0 (these are all collector coins).
