this psychology is particularly important for Ag bc it is the metal most renowned for big price swings and for disappointing lows after big spikes

investors want to position so they get max upside to those spikes while not being left stranded by lows esp to avoid mines going bust once up

they dont generally drink the Ag (or other metal) supercycle coolade - not until its been underway a year + at least.

and i mean investors - not speculative traders and small hedge funds

but you generally have to pull the traders in, in order to lift the MC to the point you can get funds and other big money to buy on market

they often get exemptions for CR participation that allow them to buy stocks in CRs they couldnt normally buy on mkt due to low MC, liquidity etc - bc of the price discount they get for CRs
