Yes, the dealer did explain that the pre-war coins having the different silver content. He has them bagged up separately with their different prices and does call them ‘junk’ silver. They are very worn coins. I was buying them based on silver content ( meltdown value) and that is why they were priced at current silver prices with a small margin for the dealer.
