I came across a video 6 or so months ago where a silver hedge fund investor explained manufacturer premeditative purchasing of PMs would be likely. Although musk is a shit stirrer he certainly is ahead of the trend - these companies must source physical metals before they become unobtainable. That includes all other rarer commodities like copper, lithium, graphite so on. I wonder what happens if silver gets to $100, will they increase EV prices or retain a set price based on the time silver had been purchased?
