Most cryptocurrencies are not anonymous. The transactions can be traced. They are better described as pseudonymous perhaps.
If owners of crypto hold the private keys they can't be confiscated. Its like holding your own silver versus having a private corporation hold it for you.
I think the real story is not about crypto... its look at how the confiscation of private citizens wealth is being performed openly. These people have nothing to do with the war.
I wonder how safe holding stocks are in light of this development? Perhaps in the future you will hold the wrong opinions about some subject or be the wrong nationality and have your shares taken? Something to think about.
