I don?t think silver is used as a substitution for antibiotics, unless you believe that doctors inject patients with a silver nano particle solution and this is in any way healthy...There has not been a single clinical trial.
Silver is merely used in tools in the medical sphere because of its disinfectant property.
In the other points you are probably right.
