Mate, Stormboy has the right idea - this poster is ignorant and ought to be "Ignored"!
If you look at the value of Fiat (which used to have the backing of gold until the US cut ties with it) - every single fiat currency has lost value against gold over the past 20 odd years. The loss has been an average of around 80% versus gold in this time - the best being Swiss franc with 70% loss..
Why the loss? Because Guvnuts can go on printing fiat without any limitation (since the break with gold) and hence fiat can lose its value and, in turn, cause inflation.
So anyone who can afford PMs as a store of VALUE, but does not do so, is a moron!! For others, investment in PM miners/explorers would be the way to go, IMO.
