one thing he does say in the video - and, I presume his report, is where he speaks about massive technological changes - in ?? was it 2018 later - or 2019 - that will be huge.

Well, - I suspect that could be correct - because we all know that massive technological changes are coming - changes that are just huge on a sociological scale - changes that will basically transform our lives to what will be almost unrecognizable from where we are now

without doubt and without some sort of cataclysmic happening that will send us back into some sort of dark ages -

those changes are coming - not if - but, when.

I have watched the pace of change - and, I am sort of surprised it hasn't been as fast as I thought - although it's been very very very rapid from a historical POV -

however, I would not be at all surprised to see changes that we sort of expect to happen in say 10 to 20 years ------------- just appear overnight.

the evidence is very clear that life changing technology when it hits - if it works and it's time is right - that the time of uptake is very very short and the effects on humanity - profound.

    Eg,. the smart phone.

One can think of something like a computer - but, in comparison to a smart phone - computers have been dog slow - we got them into the home and the common everyday office in the 70's and, they are with us today - having transformed out lives.

Ditto the internet - and, more importantly the www browser - but, it's history on goes back to about 1990

    a total change of life --- ? - yes - but, 1990 was 28 years ago

again - the iphone -- now, that's a takeup in comparison to computers or the net -

first iphone - 2007 - that's only 10 and a half years ago (released in June).

Now - look at the numbers of them on the planet - now, that's quick - comparatively.

to me - there will be changes that will be as great and greater - but, my suspicion is that the profound changes that some of those changes will bring to society - may well come almost overnight -

ie. within a couple of years - some of these technologies will appear in the majority of homes on the planet.

I remember seeing a sales survey back - ?? maybe 10 years ago - where almost 30% of people surveyed said that they would purchase a personal robot 'instantly' it came on the market - once the technology actually worked and was affordable (pricing was about $1000 or $2000 - something like that). (personal robot - meaning something that can do literally everything a human can do in the home).

now - someday - someone is going to crack that one --- it's actually late in coming - it was predicted to be here by now.

but, late or not -- it will come - and, the changes to society from that one technology alone will be so profound, that it will effect global economics, life in general and the entire way we live and have lived for tens of thousands of years.

my money is on that it won't take 10 to 20 years --

I believe with the advancements in AI, robotics and computing - that the solutions will come far quicker than that and that the scale of production will make the things so affordable that they will sweep the globe with pent up demand.

2018? maybe --- 2019 - well, who knows - just look how far they have come in the last 2 years.

I have zero doubt that when it comes - the demand for many resources will increase massively - be that silver, or battery metals or power or whatever.
