The cleverly buried and fast smelling body of an American economy in serious trouble. Yes they live prosperously in debt. The other issue is their failure to kill either Osama Ben Laden or the Al Queida network as they call them.

The truth is that the US's weaknesses since the collapse of the Soviet Union has made their leadership think of oil control in the wake of China's and India's massive industrialisation.

The Spy plane affair of not so long ago tore the veneer of their concept of invincibility and exposed their military might for what it is. Flash Gordon. Islam today is an equally mighty economic, military, social and religious force which they rightly believe should not be galvanized. At least till Israel's belligerence and arrogance provided the catalyst for the same.
