    Gents,

SIMBA (Tuas) has just entered the Travel eSIM market via Goose.sg (GOOSE eSIM). This market is currently dominated by international players like Airalo, Ubigi, Saily, Holafly, SimDirect.....etc. For those who are not familiar with Travel eSIM, it's a mobile data/calls Roaming plan you need when travelling overseas. When touched down at an overseas destination, most travellers would normally go to those SIM kiosks at the airport to buy a local SIM to use while you are there for the next few days/weeks.

However, if you have an eSIM capable phone (from iPhone 12, Samsung S22 onward + other brands), you can buy a Roaming plan before boarding plane (or after arrival), saving you time running around looking for a local SIM when you arrived in a new country. You buy a Roaming package before departure, received the eSIM QR code via email, install QR code, activated it so when reached destination, you just turn on Roaming and use, simple and easy, no worry about withdrawing the old SIM and lose it.

    The GOOSE Difference

Current offers in the market are typically $20-$25 for 5GB for 30 days (Japan, USA), you pay $25 and then use it or lose it in 30 days, most players have no ability to top-up. If you need more data, you buy another eSIM.

With Goose eSIM, you opened an account, deposited an initial $10USD and then system will deduct from this account on a Pay-Per-Use system. For example, you go to Vietnam, used 3GB while there so system will deduct $4.50USD (Vietnam rate is $1.50/GB), the $5.50 balance will be there in your account forever until you close this Goose account. GOOSE rates are currently about 1/3 of other players and GOOSE charge in 10MB block, not the whole GB. If you use only 0.1GB in Vietnam then you only pay $0.15, not $1.50 for whole 1GB. If you need more data, you just top-up Goose account and use, no need to buy another eSIM and re-install it.

    Customer target

Customers on other Singapore telcos (Singtel, Starhub, M1 + MVNOs) can now buy super cheap GOOSE Roaming data when travel overseas without the need to sign-up a SIMBA regular plan and Singaporeans do a lot of overseas travel regularly.

World-wide travellers can now get access to cheap overseas Roaming data via Goose.sg. I believe GOOSE will in time disrupt incumbent players like Airalo, Holafly and others with it's cheap offering like it did to the Singapore telco market.

    Promo

All new GOOSE customer will get 1GB Roaming data to use in 12 countries.

Gents, give Goose eSIM a try next time you travel overseas.

    Happy Goose-ing!
