Well, VRC is a company with JORC low grade (5-6%)extremely high tonnage graphite ( similar to Magnis) when on the other hand FGR is a non-JORC extremely high grade(90-95%) (with potential to conversion to higher grade products like graphene or maybe HOPG)low tonnage graphite producer.
The market they are addressing could not be more different. It would be a waste to use vein graphite to make battery grade spherical when bulk flakers are hoping every night the Li-ion market will pick up and they are sitting on the new oil.
WG has been warning about oversupply for low grade flakers for months, in addition to the very high starting CAPEX.
FGR will sell spherical graphite if it fails, flakers will do that if they succeed. And SYR will probably crush everyone in terms of OPEX if the market doesn't expand fast enough.
