    This plant (at least part of it) is supposedly based on concentrating solar-thermal technology. It's really a completely different concept to EVM's solar tower.

    The first picture in the article is of a concentrating solar thermal tower based plant. Pretty sure it's not the one being discussed in the text, which doesn't really give a good clear basic explanation of the technology being for each stage.

    After a bit of a look around, the project looks like it's 3 stages each of which will use a different solar technology to generate power. The first 160MW stage uses parabolic trough technology (according to Wikipedia) and, as the article states, was brought online recently. So the second and third pictures are probably of the plant or at least give a good idea of what it looks like.

    No towers involved at all thus far. Just hundreds of thousands of mirrors that need a lot of water to keep clean.
