I see some of you are betting on Bill Shorten.

It would have been close to a year ago when I mentioned in one of my posts that I thought he had a bright future, or words to that effect, that was when he was a parliamentary secretary, not yet a full minister as he is now. I am glad some of you have caught up with my observations.

He has the making of a good traditional Labor minister. He is not ready yet for the top job, but give him a year and I believe he will be a competitive candidate for the top job.

Forget about Crean, he had had his chances.
