As reported prior to the EGM, SE's offer to step down as CEO and become executive chairman has come to pass.
It now remains to be seen what the 'executive' chairman's salary will be ..... any guesses? The scuttlebug is that he believes such a position warrants around $500K !!

Further to the salary stakes, the well known EFT ambassador to HC, John Lane, will no doubt be celebrating his rapid rise from GM to COO to CEO in a timespan of mere weeks, with a hefty rise from his GM remuneration of $163K odd to something more like SE's current CEO standard of $337K.

How any shareholder who followed the GM's HC performance would find comfort in his elevation to CEO is beyond belief. It would seem that the guy spends more time on HC & Whirlpool than there are working hours in the day.

& just what are his qualifications to recommend him as a CEO of a publicly listed company?
It's not as if he wasn't given ample opportunity to put them forward during the HC debate, yet he was uncharacteristically silent on that subject.

Anyway, good luck to these guys.
They have constructed a very nice cozy niche for themselves & only time will tell if they will ever deliver some of the EFT bounty to shareholders as well.
