Does anyone know the tax rate for shares owned for less than 12 month's? Does you income determine the rate or is that irrelevant when it comes to CGT with shares.
An example on etax (ato.com.au) says that if someone has an income of less than $75000 you pay 30 cents in the dollar. Is this true or do I need to be holding for more than 12 month's for that?
