Just because a product has measurable radioactivity doesn't make it harmful.

A number of people here seem to be conflating the health risk presented by WLP with the investment risk it represents.

WLP contains Thorium and is not safe to breathe. You would most certainly not want your children exposed to WLP dust. That's the facts. Condisoil will be a safe, responsible and legal means by which Lynas can move WLP off-site once it obtains approvals. It "disappears" the radioactivity by diluting it below regulated levels with a combination of non-radioactive NUF and some inert ingredients; actually both those ingredients are also radioactive, but the level is below regulated levels. Regulated levels are typically very low, often 1/10th the level that any study has ever shown deleterious. Our ability to detect radioactivity is INCREDIBLY SENSITIVE. Unfortunately, people are more sensitive still.

There is a health risk. People working with WLP better be wearing protection. We don't want a single tumor. We don't want them taking it home on their boots. The health risk is not going away, but it is small and manageable.

That is NOT the risk that investors really need to be worried about given the demonstrated competence and low interest risk profile of the LAMP.

The risk of real importance to investors is this: That Condisoil approval is not forthcoming and timely. It is not a risk that the LAMP will run out of space; that is a fact, a certain eventuality.

If Condisoil is not approved, run like hell.

Even if Condisoil is approved, multiple risks remain and health risks multiply. Safe production, successful sales, 2Mtpa, no WLP containment failure. Bigger risk profile than the LAMP; 100 times the output product. Uncertain profitability. None of these risks are dependent on the safety of Condisoil itself. It's no different from NdPr in that regard: LAMP operations are risky and radioactive, but nobody thinks that saying "But NdPr is safe" is the end of the risks associated with its production.
